Open The Door To Hockey and Trada Art Studio is teaming up

Trada Art Studio and Gallery and Open The Door To Hockey are teaming up for a weekend special event. The weekend of February 26th through 28th.  Here at Open The Door To Hockey ice rink Trada Art Studios will be setting up some of their beautiful pieces of art for anyone to come and enjoy and even buy these masterpieces. You can expect to find the latest works from lots of very talented local and worldwide known artists. Trada studios will be offering  paintings prints, sculptures or glass art here. We will be hosting a hockey tournament that same weekend. This will be the first tournament held at the new ice arena so we will be making it extra special for everyone. Including live entertainment and fun games and food to enjoy.

Open The Door To Hockey's very own pro shop is having a opening sale with incredible deals that you would have to be insane to miss out on! On February 19th our pro shop, Dangles, will be opening its doors at 8:00 am. Dangles offers the best gear from all around at affordable prices, our shop includes hockey sticks, ice skates, figure skates, all hockey pads, hockey socks, tape, hockey apparel, NHL jerseys, and much more! Our employees will welcome you with a smile and help you find exactly what you need to get on the ice today. In our store we have a area in the back with artificial ice and a net so you can test out your shot or try out some of our new sticks. We will be having a knee hockey area for kids ages 5-12 to take part in our Open The Door To Hockey First Annual Knee Hockey Tournament!! Open House!!!!

Join us Saturday February 20th at Open The Door To Hockey ice arena for and open house! Food and drinks will be supplied by our concession stands including hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, and more! We will be opening the doors at 9:00 am and will be kicking things off with a grand tour of the whole facility, guided by your's truly.  After the tour is done you will have the chance to meet and greet our wonderful staff and trainers. They will be answering any questions you have about next season and this gives you a chance to get to know the people your children will be with. Then starting at noon you will get the chance to enter into our grand opening contest and have the chance to win some really cool prizes. Some of the prizes include a 200 $ gift certificate to our pro shop Dangles, tickets to a Chicago Blackhawk or Minnesota Wild game, a chance to meet a NHL player, and much much more! Then to wrap things up we will be having a scrimmage between the Eau Claire Bluegold alumni team and our personal staff, so get your seats and enjoy the game with some of our warming hot chocolate and our buttery popcorn!  Come on down  Saturday February 20th to Open The Door To Hockey and have fun with your kids learning, playing, and enjoying the great sport of hockey with us!

Let Your Season Start Today!

Open The Door To Hockey is now officially open! Come down to 28182 1/2 ave street today and join us for our grand opening of Open The Door To Hockey ice rink. We will be celebrating with a open skate starting at 6 pm and going until 9:30 pm. Food and drink will be available at our concession stands for purchase as well as a complimentary hot chocolate on the house! Open The Door To Hockey is a family run business, it has always been a dream of mine and my wife Kelly to run a hockey rink where kids all ages can come an enjoy the great sport of hockey. Kelly and I grew up in a poor city that didn't have any ice rinks available for us to skate on. We would have to flood our backyard or walk 13 miles to the nearest lake if we wished to skate. Our dream is to one day have a chain of ice rinks across the country that will allow kids to skate all year round in a safe fun loving environment. My loving wife Kelly and myself has 5 beautiful children, three of which are currently playing in the National Hockey League. Because of this during the summer we will be offering a hockey camp for the kids to learn to skate, shoot, and play hockey like the pros. We will bring in NHL all-stars throughout the camp to help teach the kids. Open The Door To Hockey will also be hosting tournaments during the hockey season and some fundraising events will be held at our rink too. There is a pro shop located right inside of the rink called Dangles. We will have all the equipment you need to play hockey available to purchase or rent. Hockey apparel for the hockey moms and dads out there will be available inside of Dangles as well. We our excited to see you at our new rink to join us in playing and watching the best sport in the world hockey!
